If you are, it’s soon going to be hard not to incorporate AI (Artificial Intelligence) into your story. There’s now a reading list to help you get a sense of what has been written, non-fiction and fiction, about “…a technology that will influence many aspects of our lives, from jobs to entertainment to health care, but that also engages with fundamental questions about what it means to be human.”
The Verge has assembled a brief but diverse compendium of books, short stories, and blogs, all chosen by leading figures in the AI world to help you better understand artificial intelligence. It’s an eclectic selection, ranging from practical primers to Golden Age sci-fi, that gives much-needed context.
My personal favourite is Neal Stephenson’s book ‘The Diamond Age’.
