Writers' Ink at Caledon Public Library

Colour Me . . .

Painting by Judy Zarowny

Night swimmer

oceans deep in

crevasses of iridescent

creatures, she

dissects mysteries

dredged from darkness

casting them on waves

like spume

from dragon’s breath.

wonder caresses her

like a satin gown

a river flowing through ancient stones

cooling sun drenched tresses.

Sublunary creature, she is

made of sea water and night sky,

lapis lazuli and dreams.
