Extra Pulp, a New Zine in Headwaters

A new zine* in our Headwaters neighbourhood is looking for writers and artist contributors. Based out of Orangeville, Extra Pulp is seeking edgy/artsy works of fiction, poetry, graphic stories and journalism, 750 words maximum. For the initial issues the publishers are seeking to highlight writings that relate in some way (even if only loosely) to the community of Orangeville and surrounds. Please submit your writing to Alton Writers’ Ink member Harry Posner at harryposner@rogers.com.  The deadline for the first issue is March 18th.

*Extracted from the Art Matters BlogWhat Is a Zine?’“A zine is usually a non-commercial publication and is like a magazine but with a twist. Zines are intended to add other, often unheard, voices outside of the mainstream print media.  Zines are often self-published by the writer or artist creator(s) and issues are typically made up using simple collage techniques.”
