Storytelling Goes Global

Stories Without Borders

Right now Stories Without Borders, the Scottish International Storytelling Festival, is on in my birthplace Edinburgh. It bills itself as THE WORLD’S FINEST FEAST OF TRADITIONAL STORYTELLING and brings together ‘Scottish, European, Middle Eastern and North African exemplars of intercultural welcome across ten packed days of celebrating oral traditions and cultural diversity’.

For those writers with the budget for travel and whose stories take place in a global context, saving up for next year’s festival could make good sense. And a great world city in autumn, one full of storytellers, awaits your participation in the bardic tradition of us Celts.
